The first thing we have to mention is that this is a beautiful tool. As far as appearances go, this axe is right on par with products that cost twice as much. Since they brought production back to the US, and since I didn't have an ax in that size/pattern, I thought it would be worth a try. When I received the ax, there was terrible lacquer on the handle and the edge badly needed to be resharpened.

The new handles are not as thick. The bit on mine is not perfectly straight. It has a slight curve to the right as you look down the bit from the poll. It cuts fine and the steel is good.
