The Linkwitz design gets a largely passive crossover which works out cheaper. I enjoyed the videos on improving the B&W 601 and Epos ES12 designs too. WebSep 8, 2024 · The problem with GR Research, as Hetfield pointed out above, is that it also sells expensive capacitors and other crossover parts as so-called upgrades. The owner also offers upgrade crossover boards, using expensive parts, for other speakers, not GR Research designs.
