Every Nissan I have been around new and old is rather noticeable. Haven't seen one yet that doesn't regardless of manufacturer. The noise would disappear after about 3 minutes of driving on level highway or going downhill. This probably has to do with the fact that CVT fluid gets heated and loses its normal viscosity.
